Requirements: -Spend 6 days creating your own songs with GarageBand. -You need to create 4 songs. (25 points for each song) -Each song needs to be at least 1 minute long. (10 points) -Each song must have at least 5 tracks. (10 points) -All of your songs must have at least one edit. (3 points) -All of your songs must have at least two "pan" changes. (2 points) -At least one of your songs must have your voice recorded on it. -There is a total of 100 points for this assignment. -You will receive an IB grade and a letter grade.

How does the Design Cycle apply to the real world? Helps you to not be poor and addicted with stuff. 3. How does music change me. Music changes my moods with rock in any kind of mood it calms me music is always in my head and lets go of everything that just happened. 4. What are the requirements for this assignment? The requirements are up above. 5. What is GarageBand? Garageband is a program to create music,sounds, and beats with lyrics and producing them into one of your own good songs. 6. Spend 15 minutes experimenting with GarageBand. List three new things you learned about GarageBand: Three things i learned about garage band u can do any kind of beat you want. You can do a mix of like guitars and drums. You can also do your song manually like strum the strings on a guitar and record your voice for your singing its a great program!
Design Brief: 7. Write a short statement of what you are going to make, why you are going to make it, and for whom you are making it for. Im making a song for my self to listen to my own creations and experiment with different instruments. Im going make a song of like blues and rock songs cause thats my kind of music to listen to.

PLAN: Day 1: Take the test on Skyward, answer the questions under "Investigate", and start GarageBand. Day 2: Finish Day 1 and start GarageBand. Day 3: Work on GarageBand. Day 4: Work on GarageBand. Day 5: Work on GarageBand. Day 6: Work on GarageBand. Day 7: Send your songs to iTunes, upload your songs to your Wikispace, and burn your song to a CD if you choose.

EVALUATE: 10. How many songs did you create? I created 2 songs but my first one got deleted and now I am only left with only half a song. 11. How could you improve your songs? I could improve my songs with more editing and more music and vocals and create it to be longer. 12. Did you meet all of the requirements? I did not meet all my requirements because my last song does not meet them all. 13. Reflect on all the steps of the Design Cycle. What did you do well? What do you need to improve? INVESTIGATE: Well I investigated with all the different beats and music that i could use in a song. PLAN: I did plan but I planned unsuccessfully because my songs did not go to what I planned them to be so i guess i do need improvement on PLANNING. CREATE: Creating was hard because i really didn't know what kind of song I wanted, but I tried to do a rock song and I didn't turn out so well so I erased it. My next song was like dance club music and I am still trying to finish it the song is only 30 seconds long and I will make it longer and make more in my spear time. How does music change the way you act and feel about yourself? Music changes the way I act to a better attitude from a bad one because music always helps me get away from all bad things. 16. What grade do you deserve on this project? (1 - 6) The grade i think i deserve for this project is a 4 because i was working all the time and was on task but i don't have enough songs to get a six.
